My Record, Left in My Voice (2018-2024)

[Voice Memo] is an album that records the emotions and moments that have passed me by from 2018 to 2024 with my voice. I recorded songs that delve deep into the beginning and end of love, loneliness and longing, and my own inner self, along the flow of time. I hope you listen to the story while following the emotional line that changes as each track continues.

I hope that people who listen to this album will not simply listen to music, but will follow my time and emotions as if they were turning the pages of a diary. It may be relatable to some, and a new perspective to others, but I just put my emotions into the album.

1. It's Okay (feat. ZICO)

A story about when we had the hardest love for each other. We stayed even though we knew we had to leave, and in the end, we made each other miserable. I thought he was too perfect, but we weren't meant to be together. So I told him to leave, but he said it would be okay, but inside, it wasn't okay at all. It's a song about complicated feelings before a breakup.

The hip-hop sound was created by combining drums, piano, guitar, and other instruments to create a lively and dynamic feel.

2. When I thought of it

After a breakup, moments that come to mind even after time has passed. When the song we used to listen to together starts playing, when the road we used to walk together feels unfamiliar, my head is filled with thoughts of that moment. This song contains the wish that the moments that I thought would disappear with time will now disappear from my memories.

In order to express somewhat intense emotions through sound, we borrowed grunge and garage rock sounds.

3. 1+1

The feeling of hatred disappearing and only longing remaining. I realize now. Even though we are over, you are still an indelible presence in my heart. In the end, you were the one who should have been by my side. Like a simple formula, 1+1 always becomes 2, it contains the message that we should have been together.

The song was performed with familiar instruments, making the listeners feel as if they are listening to a live performance.

4. Interlude

I didn't want this album to be filled with just love stories. I wanted to capture the emotions that tormented me the most, other than love. I don't want to feel anything in my dreams. Because I feel too many emotions in reality. This song contains my wish to be free, at least in my dreams. A nightmare that I still have.

It was expressed in a weighty and cynical way, using dreamy yet somewhat heavy drums and bass.

5. Breakup Anniversary (feat. SOLE)

Two years have passed since our breakup. Now I have become someone who commemorates the day we broke up. As time passes, my feelings seem to fade, but in fact, I still remember that time. The last featuring part in the song sounds like the voice of that person I hear in my dreams. I still can't accept the breakup, but I still remember it.

The track is modern and emotional, using lyrical acoustic guitar arpeggios and contrasting compressed drums.

6. Echo

In this song, I did not directly talk about the pain inside me. Rather, I wanted to express it with abstract lyrics and sounds that contained emotions. The voices that repeat inside me, the echoes of emotions that do not disappear. I put the emotions that resonate inside me, not the noise from the outside, into this song.

For an unrefined, rough sound, we borrowed from the distortion sounds of rock and the rough waveform sounds of electronica.

7. Like the First Time (feat. Skinny Brown)

I expressed the feeling of being attracted to someone for the first time using alcohol as a material. Using the keyword 'like the first time', I included the initial feelings, excitement, and mistakes. When I drink alcohol, I become more honest than usual, and the words I hesitate to say come out without me knowing, and the beginning of love also comes out like that, as if by chance. Unlike my actual introverted personality, I wanted to express more daring emotions in this song.

The feel of 2000s hip-hop and R&B samples was recreated using un-effected guitars, actual 2000s vocal sample chops, etc.

8. Promise me

A story that all lovers can relate to. “I will love you for the rest of my life.” It’s a common phrase, but it sounds different when you put your heart into it. The most precious promise that lovers can make to each other. “If you fall, I will catch you.” “I will always be by your side.” This song contains words that anyone who has fallen in love has said at least once. It’s a sweet, yet slightly shy, but heartfelt love song.

I tried to make the song as simple as possible to match the lyrics.

9. OST (feat. CHANMINA)

This song is special. It captures the process of my love. It is a song that looks back on our story like a movie, from love to the promise to spend our lives together. It is not the commonly called “Original Sound Track,” but “Our Sound Track.”

The straightforward melody and chord progression of the intro, the incomplete phrases that lead into the chorus, and the hazy yet tempo-filled writing style captured the unique feel of J-pop.

10. I don't wanna be your hero

I am very grateful for the excessive attention and love, but sometimes I feel shabby in the mirror, unlike how I look on the screen. The way people see me is part of what I want to show them, and sometimes it may be the way they want me to be. But in the end, I am just myself. I put my inner feelings into it that the way I look on the screen is not everything, and that even I do not know myself completely.

Pop sound implemented in a Korean style with rock sound.


This album is a bit special to me. It's pieces of my life, emotions from that time, and moments I want to remember. I hope that when you listen to this album, you can relate to it or it can become someone's story.

If you like it, you can say it's good, and if you don't, you can just ignore it. But I hope you remember that all of these songs were made with sincerity 🖤

내 목소리로 남긴, 나의 기록 (2018-2024)

[Voice Memo]는 2018년부터 2024년까지, 나를 스쳐 지나간 감정과 순간들을 내 목소리로 기록한 앨범이다. 사랑의 시작과 끝, 외로움과 그리움, 그리고 나 혼자만의 내면을 깊이 들여다본 곡들을 시간의 흐름을 따라 기록했다. 각 트랙이 이어지며 변화하는 감정선을 따라가며 이야기를 들어줬으면 한다.

이 앨범을 들으며 사람들이 단순히 음악을 듣는 것이 아니라, 마치 일기장을 넘기듯 내 시간과 감정을 함께 따라와 줬으면 좋겠다. 누군가에게는 공감이, 누군가에게는 새로운 시선이 될 수도 있겠지만, 나는 그저 내 감정을 앨범에 담았다.

1. 괜찮아 (feat. ZICO)

서로에게 가장 힘든 사랑을 했을 때의 이야기. 떠나야 한다는 걸 알면서도 계속 머물렀고, 결국 우리는 서로를 초라하게 만들었다. 나는 그 사람이 너무 완벽해 보였지만, 우리는 함께하는 것이 맞지 않았다. 그래서 떠나가라고, 그래도 너는 괜찮을 거라고 말하지만 사실 속으로는 전혀 괜찮지 않았다. 이별을 하기전 복잡한 감정을 이야기하는 노래이다.

힙합 사운드의 드럼과 피아노,기타 와 같은 악기들을 합쳐 생동감있고 라이브감이 느껴지게 만들었다.

2. 생각이 나서

이별 후, 시간이 지나도 문득 떠오르는 순간들. 같이 듣던 노래가 흘러나오면, 같이 걷던 길이 낯설게 느껴지면, 머릿속은 온통 그 순간의 생각뿐이다. 시간이 가면 사라질 줄 알았던 순간들이 날 괴롭혀, 이제는 내 기억에서조차 떠나줬으면 하는 바람을 담은 노래이다.

다소 격한 감정을 사운드적으로도 표현하려 Grunge(그런지)하고 개러지(garage) 한 락 사운드를 차용했다.

3. 1+1

미움이 사라지고 그리움만 남은 감정. 이제야 깨닫는다. 우리가 끝났지만, 여전히 내 마음속에서 넌 지울 수 없는 존재라는 걸. 결국 내 옆에 있어야 했던 사람은 너였다고. 단순한 수식처럼, 1+1이 언제나 2가 되는 것처럼, 우리도 함께였어야 한다는 내용을 담았다.

친숙한 악기로 곡을 전개해 듣는 분들로 하여금 라이브가 연상되게 연출 하였다.

4. 환몽 (Interlude)

이 앨범이 단순히 사랑 이야기로만 채워지는 것을 원하지 않았고. 사랑 외에 나를 가장 괴롭혔던 감정을 담고 싶었다. 꿈속에서는 아무것도 느끼지 않고 싶다. 현실에선 너무 많은 감정을 느껴버리니까. 꿈 속에서 만큼은 자유로워지고 싶은 나의 바람을 담은 곡. 여전히 꾸는 악몽.

몽환적이면서 다소 묵직한 드럼과 베이스를 사용해 무게감있고 시니컬하게 표현했다.

5. 이별기념일 (feat. SOLE)

이별 후 흐른 2년이라는 시간. 이제는 우리가 헤어진 날을 기념하는 사람이 되었다. 시간이 지날수록 감정은 흐려지는 듯하지만, 사실 여전히 나는 그 시간을 기억한다. 노래 속 마지막 피처링 파트는 내 꿈속에서 들려오는 그 사람의 목소리 같다. 아직도 이별을 받아들이지 못한 채, 난 여전히 추억한다.

서정적인 어쿠스틱 기타의 아르페지오, 그리고 이와 대비되는 압축된 드럼등을 이용해 현대적이면서 감정적인 트랙을 연출했다.

6. Echo

이 곡에서는 내 안의 아픔을 직접적으로 말하지 않았다. 오히려 추상적인 가사와 감정을 담은 사운드로 표현하고 싶었다. 내 안에서 반복되는 목소리들, 사라지지 않는 감정의 메아리. 외부의 소음이 아니라, 내 안에서 울려 퍼지는 감정들을 이 노래에 담았다.

정제되지 않은 러프한 사운드를 위해 락의 디스토션 사운드와 일렉트로니카의 거친 파형의 사운드를 차용했다.

7. 처음처럼 (feat. Skinny Brown)

처음으로 누군가에게 끌리는 감정을 술이라는 소재로 표현했다. '처음처럼'이라는 키워드를 활용해, 처음의 감정, 설렘, 실수를 함께 담아냈다. 술을 마시면 평소보다 솔직해지고, 망설였던 말들도 나도 모르게 흘러나오는 것처럼, 사랑의 시작도 그렇게 우연처럼 흘러나온다. 실제 성격이 내성적인 나와는 다르게, 이 곡에서는 좀 더 과감한 감정을 표현하고 싶었다.

이펙팅이 되어 있지 않은 기타, 실제 2000년대 보컬 샘플 chop 등을 사용해 2000년대 힙합 알앤비 샘플의 느낌을 구현했다.

8. 약속해줘

모든 연인들이 공감할 수 있는 이야기. “너를 평생 사랑할게.” 흔한 말이지만, 진심을 담으면 다르게 들린다. 연인이 서로에게 해줄 수 있는 가장 소중한 약속. “네가 쓰러지면 내가 잡아줄게.” “언제까지나 곁에 있을게.” 사랑에 빠진 사람이라면 누구나 한 번쯤 해봤을 말들을 노래에 담았다. 달달하면서도 조금은 수줍은, 하지만 진심을 담은 사랑 노래이다.

가사의 결에 맞춰 최대한 심플하게 곡을 전개했다.

9. OST (feat. CHANMINA)

이 곡은 특별하다. 내 사랑의 과정을 그대로 담아냈다. 연애부터 평생을 같이 한다는 약속까지, 우리 둘만의 이야기를 영화처럼 되돌아보며 만든 곡. 흔히 말하는 “Original Sound Track”이 아니라, “Our Sound Track”이라는 의미이다.

인트로의 직선적인 멜로디와 코드진행, 후렴파트로 전개 될때의 못 갖춘마디, 아련하면서 템포감있는 작법을 통해 J pop 특유의 느낌을 살렸다.

10. I don't wanna be your hero

과분한 관심과 사랑에 감사한 마음이 크지만, 화면 속 비춰지는 모습과 달리, 거울 속 내 자신이 초라하게 느껴질 때가 있다. 사람들이 보는 내 모습은 내가 보여주고 싶은 일부, 때로는 그들이 바라는 모습일 수도 있다. 하지만 결국 나는 그저 나 자신일 뿐. 화면 속 모습이 전부가 아니라는 것, 그리고 나조차도 나를 다 알지 못한다는 내 속마음을 담았다.

팝 사운드를 락 사운드와 함께 한국식으로 구현했다.


이 앨범은 나에게 좀 특별하다. 내 삶의 조각들이고, 그때의 감정들이며, 기억하고 싶은 순간들이다. 이 앨범를 듣고 공감을 하거나, 누군가의 이야기가 될 수 있기를 바란다.

좋으면 좋다는 마음으로, 별로라면 가볍게 흘려들어도 된다. 하지만 이 모든 곡들이 진심을 담아 만들어졌다는 것만은 기억해줬으면 한다 🖤
