Description (Translated):

I was planning a second full-length album and saw a video on the Internet.
It was a four-minute-long video titled “How Wingless Spiders ‘Fly’.”
I don't remember the details now, but the word 'flight room' that I found in the video at that time felt so cool.
Even as time passed, it was something that just wouldn't leave my mind.
At that time, I decided on a title for my second album in my mind.

After quite some time, the album consisting of nine songs was completed.
I have no intention of introducing this album by being tied to a certain style or concept.
However, we tried to express what we had in the most honest and natural way possible.

“There is a man who thinks he has no story of his own. He is curious about other people’s lives, so he becomes a bird and flies around them.”


Among the nine stories included in this album,
I hope that each of us can discover our own ‘flight room’.
It could be like a spider's flying thread that it throws towards the world to fly,
It may be a confession of some wrongdoing,
It might be an experience to look into the space for flight.
Whatever you discover, I hope it becomes an album that brings a little rest to your life.

Lastly, I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the members who have been with us for a long time, and to Mr. Jo Dong-ik, who resembles the warm Jeju breeze.

Description (Original):

정규 2집 앨범을 계획하고, 인터넷에서 한 영상을 본 적이 있다.
“날개도 없는 거미가 '비행'하는 법”이라는 제목의 4분 남짓의 영상이었다.
이제는 세세한 내용은 기억나지 않지만, 그때 영상에서 발견한 '비행실'이라는 단어가 너무나도 근사하게 느껴져,
시간이 흐른 뒤에도 도무지 뇌리에서 떠나질 않는 것이었다.
그때 내심 2집의 제목을 마음속으로 정했다.

그로부터 꽤 오랜 시간을 지나, 아홉 곡으로 묶어 낸 앨범이 완성되었다.
어떤 스타일이나 컨셉에 얽매여 이 앨범을 소개하고 싶은 마음은 없다.
다만, 우리가 가진 것들을 최대한 진솔하고 자연스러운 방식으로 표현하려고 노력했다.

“자신의 이야기가 없다고 생각하는 한 사람이 있다. 그는 다른 이들의 삶이 궁금하여 새가 되어 그들의 주위를 맴돈다.”


여러분들이 이 앨범에 수록된 아홉 가지의 이야기들 속에서,
각자가 지니고 있는 '비행실'을 스스로 발견할 수 있기를 소망한다.
비행하기 위해 세상을 향해 드리우는 거미의 그것(飛行실)과 같을 수도,
어떤 잘못된 행동에 대한 고백(非行實)일 수도,
비행을 위한 공간(飛行室)을 들여다보는 경험이 될지도 모르겠다.
무엇을 발견하든 삶에 자그마한 쉼이 되는 앨범이 되기를.

끝으로, 긴 시간 속에서 함께한 맴버들과, 따뜻한 제주 바람을 닮으신 조동익 선생님께 이 자리를 빌려 감사의 인사를 드린다.
