The word I thought about most while preparing for the "Hagijanggiha" performance was "immersion." I'd been learning DJing for a few years. I'd occasionally go to parties hosted by DJs. When a seasoned DJ strings together music for a couple of hours, it becomes not just a playlist, but a unique work of art. That unique narrative arc draws the partygoers into a state of immersion. I wanted to replicate that approach in my own performance. I arranged the music so that each song flowed seamlessly, just like a DJ would. Throughout the entire setlist—twenty-two songs—there was never a pause for applause. The result was incredibly satisfying. Not a playlist, but a unique work of art. A unique narrative arc. And above all, immersion. I consider this performance the best I've ever performed. The expressions on my colleagues' faces on stage, and the voices of everyone in the audience, told me at every moment that this wasn't just my experience.

Actually, I believe that a performance is meaningful enough even if it remains only in our memories. Even while preparing for this concert, I hadn't thought about releasing a live album. After observing our rehearsals, our agency suggested we document this performance. Listening to the finished album, I realize how grateful I was for that suggestion. Precious memories are captured on this album. I can't wait to share it with you all. And I can't wait to stand on stage again. See you soon.

〈하기장기하〉 공연을 준비하면서 가장 많이 생각한 단어는 '몰입'입니다. 몇 년 전부터 디제잉을 좀 배워봤어요. 가끔 디제이들이 이끄는 파티에 가서 놀기도 했고요. 노련한 디제이가 음악을 두어 시간 동안 이어붙이면, 그건 단순한 플레이리스트가 아닌 하나의 독자적인 작품이 됩니다. 그 고유의 기승전결은 파티에 참석한 사람들을 몰입으로 이끌죠. 그런 방식을 제 공연에도 써보고 싶었어요. 디제이들이 하는 것처럼, 앞곡과 뒷곡이 물 흐르듯 연결되게 편곡을 했어요. 셋리스트의 대부분인 스물두 곡을 연주하는 동안, 음악을 끊고 박수를 받는 일은 없었죠. 결과는 대만족이었어요. 플레이리스트가 아닌 독자적인 작품. 고유의 기승전결. 그리고 무엇보다, 몰입. 저는 이 공연이 여태까지 제가 한 공연 중 최고였다고 생각합니다. 무대 위 동료들의 표정이, 그리고 객석에서 함께한 여러분의 목소리가, 그게 저 혼자만의 느낌이 아니라는 걸 매 순간 말해주고 있었어요.

사실 저는 공연이 기억 속에만 남는 것도 충분히 의미 있다고 생각하는 편이에요. 이번 공연을 준비하면서도 라이브 앨범을 내겠다는 생각은 하지 못하고 있었죠. 소속사에서 저희의 연습을 참관한 후에, 이 공연은 꼭 기록으로 남기자고 제안해 주셨어요. 완성된 음반을 들으니, 그 제안이 얼마나 고마운 것이었는지 알게 되네요. 소중한 추억이 음반에 담겼습니다. 얼른 여러분과 함께 듣고 싶네요. 그리고 얼른, 무대에 서고 싶네요. 곧 만나요.
