After being a member of the singing group 'Echo' during his college days, he was an early member of 'People Looking for Songs'.
A collection of songs by Jo Kyung-ok, known for her warm and calm voice [Anthology]

Starting with the Seoul National University singing group Meari, Kyung-ok Cho was active in People Seeking Songs in the 80s.
Two LPs containing the songs will be released through Majang Music & Pictures.

The previously released solo album [How Are You] is included on the first disc, and songs familiar to the 80s generation, such as ‘Azalea’, ‘Factory Light’, ‘Somewhere in This World’, ‘Unrequited Love’, and ‘Open Eyes’, which were released in the past, are restored and included on the second disc.

[Anthology], a collection of Kyung-ok Cho's songs, presented in her precious and youthful voice, is another gift for those who remember the 80s, reminding them of the value of important songs that were lost.

Poetry: Lee Young-do, Composition: Han Tae-geun
This is one of the sixteen songs included on the cassette tape "Meari's First Album," recorded at a cafe in Bongcheon-dong in 1979. It is the first song recorded with Kyung-ok Cho's voice. The backing vocals in the latter part are by Kim Chang-nam, a former Meari colleague.

Democracy
Poetry: Shin Kyeong-rim, Composition: Ahn Hye-kyung
This song was included in the second album of "Meari," produced in 1980. Some of the songs included in "Meari 2nd Album" were recorded at the Seorabeol Code Lab Studio in Gwanghwamun, while others were recorded in various locations, including the female students' lounge in the Seoul National University Student Union. Although my memory is unclear, I believe this song, "Democracy," was recorded in the student union. Yang Hyun-soo, also a member of Meari, provided the backing vocals.

Lyrics and composition: Kim Min-ki
This song was included in the second album of <Echo> and was sung with my former colleague Kim Chun-mi. I don't remember clearly whether this song was recorded at the Seorabeol Rap Studio or the Seoul National University Student Center.

Somewhere in this world
Lyrics and composition: Kim Min-ki
A song included in the album "People's Song," produced by Kim Min-ki and organized by the Hankyoreh Newspaper's People's Song Project in 1990. The first verse was sung by Jo Kyung-ok, and the second and third verses were sung by Song Chang-sik.

open eyes
Lyrics and composition: Lee Won-jae
A song included in the album <Two-Wheeled Car Vol. 1> by folk singer Lee Won-jae, produced by LG Media in 1996.

unrequited love
Lyrics and composition: Handol, Guitar: Kim Chang-nam, Keyboard: Jang Gyeong-ah
This is a live sound source performed at the lecture concert 'Meeting Modern and Contemporary History through Performance: May 18 Democratization Movement and the 1980s', which was broadcast on September 16, 2020 on the National Museum of Korean History channel on Naver TV (tv.naver.com/muchkorea).

※ Poor playback
1) If you are using a turntable without a tonearm or weight adjustment function (mainly all-in-one models), you may experience a skipping phenomenon when playing tracks with large dynamic sound variations. This is mostly due to the light tonearm weight.
We do not accept returns or exchanges for playback problems caused by device issues, so we recommend playing on a device with adjustable tonearms.
2) Discs may not play smoothly due to static electricity and dust. This can usually be resolved by removing it with a dedicated product.
3) If dust accumulates on the needle, playback may not be smooth.

※ Disk abnormality
1) The disc surface may be warped or warped. Returns or exchanges are only possible if there is a problem with playback.
2) Disc center holes are sometimes manufactured with a small diameter to minimize distortion in the playback range and maintain maximum consistency during repeated playback. If they do not fit the turntable spindle, the center hole can be adjusted using a dedicated product.

대학시절 노래패 '메아리'에 이어 '노래를 찾는 사람들' 초기 멤버로 활동을 한,
따뜻하고 담담한 보이스 '조경옥' 노래모음집 [Anthology]

서울대 노래패 메아리를 시작으로 80년대에 노래를 찾는 사람들에서 활동한 조경옥의
노래를 모은 두장의 LP가 마장뮤직앤픽처스를 통해 발매 된다.

기존 발매 되었던 독집 앨범 [잘 지내시나요] 를 첫번째 디스크에, 80년대 세대들에게 익숙한 노래들인 '진달래', '공장의 불빛', '이 세상 어딘가에', '외사랑', '뜬 눈' 등 지난 시절 발매 되었던 음원을 복원 하여 두번째 디스크에 수록 하였다.

조경옥의 소중하고 앳된 목소리로 들려주는 조경옥 노래모음집 [Anthology]는 지난 80년대를 기억하는 이들에게 잃어버린 중요한 노래의 가치를 새롭게 떠올리게 하는 또 하나의 선물이다.

진달래
시 : 이영도, 작곡 : 한태근
1979년에 봉천동 어느 카페에서 녹음된 카세트테이프 <메아리 1집>에 담긴 열여섯 곡 가운데 하나다. 조경옥의 목소리로 녹음된 첫 번째 음원이다. 뒷부분의 백 보컬은 메아리 동료였던 김창남의 목소리다.

민주
시 : 신경림, 작곡 : 안혜경
1980년에 제작된 <메아리> 2집의 수록곡이다. <메아리 2집>에 수록된 일부 곡은 광화문의 서라벌레코드 랩 스튜디오에서, 다른 곡들은 서울대 학생회관 여학생휴게실 등 여러 곳에서 녹음되었다. 기억이 분명하지는 않지만 이 노래 '민주'는 아마도 학생회관에서 녹음된 것으로 보인다. 백보컬은 역시 메아리 멤버였던 양현수가 맡았다.

공장의 불빛
작사 작곡 : 김민기
<메아리> 2집 수록곡으로 메아리 동료였던 김춘미와 함께 불렀다. 이 음원이 서라벌 랩스튜디오에서 녹음되었는지 서울대 학생회관에서 녹음되었는지는 기억이 분명하지 않다.

이 세상 어딘가에
작사 작곡 : 김민기
1990년 한겨레신문사 겨레의 노래 사업단이 주관하고 김민기가 제작한 앨범 <겨레의 노래>에 수록된 곡. 1절은 조경옥이, 2절과 3절은 송창식이 메인 보컬을 담당했다.

뜬 눈
작사 작곡 : 이원재
1996년 LG미디어가 제작한 포크 가수 이원재의 앨범 <두 바퀴로 가는 자동차 1집>에 수록된 곡.

외사랑
작사 작곡 : ᄒᆞᆫ돌, 기타 : 김창남, 건반 : 장경아
2020년 9월 16일 네이버TV의 대한민국역사박물관 채널(tv.naver.com/muchkorea)을 통해 방송된 강연콘서트 '공연으로 만나는 근현대사 : 5.18민주화운동과 80년대'에서 연주된 라이브 음원이다.

※ 디스크 이상
