EVNNE moves beyond being a project group that started on an audition program to present their first single album, [Backtalk], as an official group.
This album, entirely chosen by the five members themselves, stems from an honest attitude of facing their imperfect selves head-on rather than acting out perfection. By opting for "self-deprecation"—revealing their weaknesses and flaws without hiding them—they unleash raw energy and unpretentious sincerity without restraint. Where does this uninhibited energy originate?
The lyrics for this title track were written directly by the members themselves, without the help of an external writer. Capturing their individual struggles and perspectives intact, the lyrics breathe life into their own language, rather than the language of others. Embracing external gazes and the scars of the past without avoiding them, they ultimately confront themselves.
'Backtalk' is not merely backtalk. Unbound by established molds, they respond in their own way, demonstrating a determination to break free from the standards of others and forge their own path through the blunt expression of 'spit it out.' What will we encounter within that uninhibited voice?

다섯 멤버가 온전히 스스로 선택한 이번 앨범은, 완벽을 연기하기보다 불완전한 자신과 정면으로 마주하는 솔직한 태도에서 출발한다. 자신의 약점과 치부를 숨기지 않고 드러내는 '셀프디스'를 선택하며, 가공되지 않은 에너지와 허세 없는 진정성을 거침없이 풀어낸다. 그들의 거침없는 에너지는 어디서부터 비롯되는 것일까?
이번 타이틀곡 작사는 외부 작가의 손을 빌리지 않고, 멤버들이 이야기로 직접 써 내려갔다. 각자의 고민과 시선이 고스란히 담긴 가사에는 타인의 언어가 아닌, 이들 자신의 언어가 살아 숨 쉰다. 외부의 시선과 과거의 상흔도 피하지 않고 끌어안으며, 끝내 자신과 직면한다.
