Gaho's music stimulates the imagination. When I listen to his songs, movie-like scenes come to mind. Satisfying the ears with a sweet voice and beautiful melody, satisfying the body with an exciting beat and a graceful groove, go beyond the two satisfactions commonly felt through music. Music that awakens the imagination through sound and satisfies the five senses through imagination. The ability to create a movie-like mood by weaving the colorful images of the motives that led to the song. This is why you can enjoy Gaho's music in a special way.

Gaho's second mini-album “Diamond” feels like watching a six-chapter musical movie. Two songs have already been released as singles first, and it's impressive that you can feel this way even though each song doesn't have direct continuity.

The six songs in the album are colorful. 'Beautiful Night', which had a splendid scene, and 'Only You', which gently conveyed the feelings of love. If you recall the contrasting atmosphere of the two songs that were released first, you can guess the difference in atmosphere. The same goes for the newly recorded songs. It has a variety of songs, from calm instrumental songs to lyrical R&B ballads, refreshing pop and folk styles. The impressive part is the arrangement of the songs. Sorrow and loneliness are placed at the beginning and end of the album, and the emotions and atmosphere are naturally connected from the first track to the last track. This is the part that confirms its value as an album.

The first track, 'Intro', was created as the main melody of the following song, 'Love Me'. It contains elegant yet sad emotions to hint at the content of the title song. The clear tones of the piano and harp are short but intense.

The second track 'Love Me' stands out from the beginning. The sound of a clockwork and vibraphone flows out like a music box, concentrating on the emotions. It is a song about living a perfect life but feeling empty without being able to achieve love.

The third track is 'Beautiful Night', which was previously released as a single. This song was inspired by watching a party scene in the movie “The Great Gatsby,” and invites the female lead to a party hosted by herself. Bright and refreshing sound is the key.

The fourth track is 'Diamond' from the album of the same name. It is made by comparing the feeling of excitement and love to a diamond. The heavy beat reminiscent of a beating heart and the vocal distortion that expresses shyness are impressive.

The fifth track is 'Only You', which was previously released as a single. It is a song that was created while imagining an antique atmosphere and contains a soft and elegant charm.

The last track is 'Lonely'. It is a song in which the acoustic guitar leads the entire song, and it expresses the lonely feelings straightforwardly and calmly. The expression 'I'm doing well' and the expression 'I'm lonely' are mixed together to make it easy to sympathize with the complex emotions that pretend to be okay but are not okay in reality.

가호의 음악은 상상을 자극한다. 그의 노래들을 듣고 있으면 머릿속에 영화 같은 장면들이 떠오른다. 달콤한 목소리와 아름다운 멜로디로 귀를 만족시키는 것, 흥겨운 비트와 유려한 그루브로 몸을 만족시키는 것, 흔히 음악을 통해 느끼는 두 가지의 만족을 넘어선다. 소리를 통해 상상을 깨우고, 상상을 통해 오감을 만족시키는 음악. 곡을 만들게 된 모티브의 다채로운 심상들을 엮어서, 영화 같은 무드를 만들어내는 능력. 가호의 음악을 특별하게 즐길 수 있는 이유다.

가호의 두 번째 미니앨범 “Diamond”는 여섯 챕터의 뮤지컬 무비를 보는 듯한 느낌이다. 이미 두 곡이 싱글로 먼저 발매되었고, 각 곡들이 직접적인 연속성을 갖지 않음에도 이런 느낌을 받을 수 있다는 게 인상적이다.

앨범에 담긴 여섯 곡의 면면은 다채롭다. 화려한 장면을 펼쳐냈던 'Beautiful Night', 부드럽게 사랑의 감정을 전했던 'Only You'. 먼저 발매되었던 두 곡의 상반된 분위기를 떠올리면 분위기의 차이들을 짐작할 수 있다. 새롭게 수록된 곡들도 마찬가지다. 잔잔한 연주곡, 서정적인 R&B 발라드, 상큼한 팝과 포크 스타일까지 다채롭다. 인상적인 부분은 곡의 배치다. 슬픔과 외로움을 앨범의 처음과 끝에 배치하고 첫 번째 트랙부터 마지막 트랙까지 감성과 분위기가 자연스럽게 이어지도록 구성했다. 앨범으로서의 가치를 확인시켜 주는 부분이다.

세 번째 트랙은 앞서 싱글로 공개되었던 'Beautiful Night'. 영화 “위대한 개츠비”의 파티 장면을 보고 영감을 얻어 만든 곡으로, 여주인공을 자신이 주최한 파티에 초대하는 내용이다. 밝고 청량한 사운드가 핵심이다.

네 번째 트랙은 앨범 동명 타이틀의 'Diamond'. 기분 좋은 설렘과 사랑하는 사람에 대한 마음을 다이아몬드에 비유해 만들었다. 뛰는 심장을 연상시키는 묵직한 비트와 수줍음을 표현한 듯한 보컬 왜곡이 인상적이다.

다섯 번째 트랙은 역시 앞서 싱글로 공개되었던 'Only You'. 앤틱한 분위기를 상상하며 작업한 곡으로 부드럽고 우아한 매력을 담고 있다.

마지막 트랙은 'Lonely'. 통기타가 곡 전체를 주도하는 곡으로 외로운 감정을 직설적이면서도 덤덤하게 표현했다. '잘 지내고 있어'라는 표현과 '외롭다'는 상반된 표현을 함께 담아 괜찮은 척을 하지만 사실은 괜찮지 않은 복잡한 감정을 공감하기 쉽게 풀어냈다.

새로 만든 네 곡이 'Beautiful Night'과 'Only You' 두 곡의 상반된 분위기 사이사이에 배치되며 묘한 하나의 흐름이 만들어진 부분이 재밌다. 많은 것을 가진 한 남자가 사랑을 잃은 뒤 화려했던 파티를 회상하고, 들뜬 마음으로 애절한 마음으로 사랑을 표현해 보지만 결국 혼자 남게 된 하나의 스토리가 만들어진다.
