Hike [Lovestruck]: Gathering the sunlight of that summer into one spot

When I was young, I used to play with a magnifying glass. I didn’t know the details of how convex lenses work or how sunlight was refracted, but on a sunny day, I could do something fun with just a magnifying glass. When I focused sunlight with a magnifying glass, the tip of the light became a black dot. When I stared at the black dot for a long time, white smoke would rise as if by magic. I thought to myself as I watched the slowly burning hole grow bigger. Burning means disappearing.
Even if everything else disappears, I can't help but laugh at the mirage-like summers that can't be stopped. I whisper softly, "It was summer." Maybe this is another version of the will that Haiki has been conveying to the world so far.

하이키 [Lovestruck]: 그 여름의 태양 빛을 한 점에 모아

어린 시절 돋보기로 빛을 모으는 놀이가 있었다. 볼록 렌즈의 원리나 햇빛의 굴절이나, 그런 자세한 건 몰랐지만 햇빛 좋은 날 돋보기 하나만 있으면 재미있는 일을 벌일 수 있었다. 돋보기로 햇빛을 가만히 모으고 있으면, 모인 빛의 끝이 까만 점이 되었다. 까만 점을 한참 노려보고 있으면, 어느 순간 마법처럼 하얀 연기가 피어올랐다. 천천히 타들어 가는 구멍이 점점 커지는 걸 보며 생각했다. 타오른다는 건, 사라진다는 뜻이구나.
이대로 모두가 타 사라져 버린대도 멈출 수 없는 신기루 같은 여름들에 웃음이 난다. '여름이었다'라고 작게 속삭여 본다. 어쩌면 이건 지금까지 하이키가 세상에 전해온 의지의 또 다른 버전일지도 모르겠다.
