Description (Translated):

I don't have the courage to run outside on a bright summer day.
It was a day when I forced myself to get up and run on the boring treadmill.
After I finished making the songs, I had to come up with a plausible title for the album.
What I want to say is already in the song
Saying more feels like an afterthought.
'Is there any need to explain further? It's already all written in the song.'

Once I started to run on the treadmill for more than 15 minutes, I started to have more boring worries.
'So then what do I want to be? What do I want to achieve through this music? Why did I make this album? What kind of person am I?'
When it comes to such trite and boring existential concerns, I'm starting to get bored.

I still don't know the clear answer though
'I want to be something between black and white'
I guess I understand that much.
They call it a 'gray molecule'.
A person without any tendency or purpose and without a distinct voice
Just an ordinary person, neither here nor there
I'm going to stop the vague, lingering thoughts for now.

쨍한 여름날 밖에서 달릴 용기는 도무지 없어서
억지로 몸을 일으켜 지루한 러닝머신을 타던 날이었습니다.
곡을 다 만들어놓고 그럴듯하게 앨범 제목을 지어야 했는데
내가 하고 싶은 말들은 이미 노래가 사안에 다 있어서
더 무언가를 말하는 게 사족처럼 느껴지는 거예요.
'굳이 더 설명할 필요가 있을까 이미 노래 안에 다 써버렸는데.'

런닝머신이 15분을 넘어가면서부터는 그보다 더 재미없는 고민이 꼬리를 물었어요.
'그래서 그럼 나는 뭐가 되고 싶은 걸까? 이 음악을 통해 뭘 이루고 싶은 걸까? 나는 이 앨범을 왜 만들었을까? 나는 어떤 사람일까?'
와 같은 아주 진부하고 재미없는 존재론적인 고민까지 가면 이제 슬슬 지겨워져요.

명확한 답은 여전히 잘 모르겠습니다만
'나는 검은색과 하얀색 그 사이의 무언가가 되고 싶다'
정도는 알겠더라고요.
그걸 '회색분자'라고 한다죠.
어떤 경향성이나 목적이 없는 그리고 뚜렷한 목소리를 내지 않는 사람
이도 저도 아닌 그냥 그렇고 그런 평범한 사람
막연하게 꼬리를 물던 생각을 당장은 멈춰봅니다.
