Jeong Soo-min's new single 'song about YOU', which took her first step into the music industry by releasing her debut EP [Phasis,] in October last year, is a song that captures the bitterness of longing while enjoying the sense of liberation after a breakup.

It started with an exciting promise to let go of writing songs for someone you loved and to no longer write songs for anyone, but in the end, it ended with YOU, a cute song that was expressed through a pleasant melody and lyrics.

Jeong Soo-min directly participated in writing and composing the lyrics, and ADORA (Adora), who worked on BTS's 'Spring Day', and Neuron Music's representative producer DONNIE J worked together following their debut song 'With You' to improve the song's completeness.

작년 10월, 데뷔 EP [Phasis,]를 발매하며 음악계에 첫 단계를 내디딘 정수민의 새 싱글 'song about YOU'는 이별 후의 해방감을 즐기면서도 그리움의 씁쓸함을 담은 곡이다.

사랑했던 이를 위해 곡을 쓰던 자신을 떠나보내고 이제 더 이상 누군가를 위한 곡을 쓰지 않는다는 호기로운 다짐으로 시작했지만 결국 너(YOU)로 끝나는 귀여운 치기를 유쾌한 멜로디와 가사로 풀어냈다.

정수민이 직접 작사와 작곡에 참여했으며 방탄소년단 '봄날'을 작업한 ADORA (아도라)와 뉴런뮤직 대표 프로듀서 DONNIE J가 데뷔곡 'With You'에 이어 호흡을 맞추며 곡의 완성도를 높였다.
