Description (Translated):

Kim Chang-wan Band's new album, released after 10 years
An album filled with life and its resonances.

Kim Chang-wan Band โ€“ [Seventy]

Kim Chang-wan Band releases new single after 10 years since 2016's "Time" The single being released this time contains the insight and regret of Kim Chang-wan, who is over 70 years old. It contains two songs, <I Love You>, filled with cheerful emotions, and sung at the top of your lungs with children.
The title track "Seventy" is arguably Kim Chang-wan Band's greatest masterpiece. The song's profound emotion lies beneath the calm yet profound insight and regret of Kim Chang-wan, now seventy-two, yet a man who doesn't quite fit the description of "old man." In this epic composition, which encompasses elements of folk and power ballad, as well as psychedelia and progressive rock, Kim Chang-wan's voice shines throughout. His vocals, seemingly casually sung but possessing a profound appeal, are positioned at the forefront of the sound, allowing the "story" to unfold more naturally.
"Saranghae," a lively pop-rock song with a completely different vibe, captures the friendly and cheerful sentiments of Sanulrim from long ago. It conveys the message that love shouldn't be hesitant, conveyed through Kim Chang-wan's characteristically pure language. The brief drum intro, reminiscent of the opening of Sanulrim's "Don't Go" (1981), is followed by brass sounds, Kim Chang-wan's cries, and the children's chorus, leaving a lasting impression. The chorus, which seems to envision the children's happy expressions unfolding before your eyes, is the voices of the Bangbae Middle School students. The easy melody and lyrics, easy to hum after just one listen, will have you strangely addicted.

Kim Chang-wan Band

Kim Chang-wan's musical career, best known for his work with Sanulrim, reached a major turning point in 2008. Having bid farewell to Sanulrim, the youngest member of the band, he launched the Kim Chang-wan Band, eager to share the pure joy of music while embodying the boundless energy and passion of rock. In November 2008, the band embarked on a new journey with the release of the EP [The Happiest], featuring a five-piece lineup comprised of keyboardist Lee Sang-hoon, a seasoned arranger and producer who had been a session player with Sanulrim since the band's inception; bassist Choi Won-sik; drummer Lee Min-woo; and guitarist Hasegawa Yohei, formerly of groups like Gopchangjeongol and Hwang Shin-hye Band. The unique charm of Kim Chang-wan Band, who sometimes sings and plays with boldness and intensity and sometimes with simple and warm emotions, is fully revealed in excellent works such as 'Twelve Years Old Live Twelve, Sixteen Years Old Live Sixteen' (2008), 'What I Want' (2009), 'Darn It' (2011), 'Forbidden Song' (2012), 'When I Play E Major' (2014), and 'Middle School 2' and 'Forgiveness' (2015).

Kim Chang-wan's signature playfulness and ingenuity, his unique perspective on life, daily life, people, and love, and his humorous yet profound insight into the times are evident in songs like "Middle School 2," "Darn It," and "Geumjigok." His catchy, captivating melodies, quintessentially Kim Chang-wan, are driven by refined arrangements and solid performances, all set against a clean, unadorned rock sound that leaves listeners feeling a sense of unparalleled emotion. Since welcoming the talented session musicians drummer Kang Yoon-ki and guitarist Yeom Min-yeol in 2012, the Kim Chang-wan Band has maintained a seamless lineup, boasting impeccable teamwork. Their relentless performances and tours demonstrate their core commitment to being a rock band that connects with their audiences. Despite his age, Kim Chang-wan's explosive stage performances, exceptional singing, and unwavering creativity are a testament to the Korean music scene. In 2026, the band showed that they were not stagnant but constantly evolving with the single "Seventy", which contained sophisticated maturity and perfect poetic beauty.

[Please note the following when purchasing LPs.]

โ€ป Jacket/components/packaging condition
1) Please understand that minor jacket wrinkles, corner crushing, cracks, etc., other than obvious defects in the product, are not eligible for return/exchange.
2) The inner slubber may crack due to contact with the disc, and this is not subject to return/exchange.
3) The disc label may not be attached smoothly due to the manufacturing process.
4) Damage to the outer packaging plastic that does not cause a problem with the product itself is not eligible for exchange/return.

โ€ป Poor playback
1) If you are using a turntable without a tonearm or weight adjustment function (mainly all-in-one models), you may experience a skipping phenomenon when playing tracks with large dynamic sound variations. This is mostly due to the light tonearm weight.
We do not accept returns or exchanges for playback problems caused by device issues, so we recommend playing on a device with adjustable tonearms.
2) Discs may not play smoothly due to static electricity and dust. This can usually be resolved by removing it with a dedicated product.
3) If dust accumulates on the needle, playback may not be smooth.

โ€ป Disk abnormality
1) The disc surface may be warped or warped. Returns or exchanges are only possible if there is a problem with playback.
2) Disc center holes are sometimes manufactured with a small diameter to minimize distortion in the playback range and maintain maximum consistency during repeated playback. If they do not fit the turntable spindle, the center hole can be adjusted using a dedicated product.
3) Occasionally, discs may have minor scratches or an imperfect finish. Returns or exchanges are only possible if there is a problem with playback.

โ€ป Color disc
1) The color disc may differ in color from the web image and actual color.
2) Due to the nature of color discs, there may be color differences between albums during the production process.
3) Color discs may contain small dots or other color dyes that occur during the manufacturing process.

โ€ป Exchange/Return Information
1) When requesting an exchange/return due to an obvious defect, please contact the customer service center with photos and videos that can confirm the defect and the model name of the player.
2) LPs are subject to frequent shipping, making them prone to damage to the jacket and difficult to resell. Therefore, returns due to incorrect purchases or changes of mind are not accepted. Please make your purchase carefully.
