The script collection for the Netflix series "Melo Movie," which premiered to enthusiastic response from viewers worldwide, will be published in an original version by writer Lee Na-eun. Having already garnered attention as a "rookie in youth romance" with her previous work, "That Year, Us," Lee Na-eun has used the themes of encounters, partings, and reunions to portray human deprivation, growth, and the meaning of relationships in a simple yet resonant way.
<Melo Movie> is a romantic growth drama that tells the story of two main characters who both want to love and achieve their dreams, each experiencing their own growing pains, and the people around them. It depicts the process of healing each other's traumas by becoming a small light in each other's lives.
This work, which delicately deals with sweet romance, bittersweet growth, and various forms of family love, was praised as a "cinematic melodrama" thanks to director Oh Choong-hwan's emotional direction and the outstanding acting and chemistry of actors Choi Woo-shik, Park Bo-young, Lee Joon-young, and Jeon So-ni.

Lee Na-eun's signature gentle yet dramatic development and calmly tracing emotional lines are on full display in the script for "Melo Movie."
In particular, in writer Lee Na-eun's script, the narrator's narration, which drives the entire story, anchors the play and serves the function of evoking meaning between scenes. Without overly inflating emotions or dramatizing events, she directly conveys the characters' psychology, making the meaning of each line and scene more vivid.

Actor Choi Woo-shik played film critic Go Gyeom, earning rave reviews for his nuanced portrayal, which ranged from a straightforward, straightforward man with a passionate heart to a poignant portrayal of brotherly love. Park Bo-young, however, garnered significant sympathy as Kim Moo-bi, a prickly but deeply entrenched man, delivering a performance marked by a determination unlike any she'd previously shown.
