Tree, Ring, and Tree Ring

"Tree Ring," which refers to the rings of a tree's age, represents its maturity. This fifth mini-album, comprised entirely of self-composed tracks, not only showcases the musical maturity of Nam Woo-hyun, the Tree, but also contains the promise that, like his symbolic ring, he will continue to grow musically and reach out to Inspirit and the new members.

The fact that all of the songs are self-composed by Nam Woo-hyun, who has already established himself as a complete singer-songwriter, also carries deep symbolic meaning.
Along with the overall storytelling of the album, the music in which every song seems to contain the story of Inspirit, Saebak, and all of us shows sincerity while also revealing the deep consideration and effort that went into each and every song by Nam Woohyun.

The title song of the album, 'Only Straight', filled with songs that were handcrafted in this way.
"Only Straight" is a song that symbolizes Nam Woohyun from the title, and it conveys an explosive and refreshing feeling, as if to show that passionate sincerity is the strongest. The message of choosing only straight forward for one person simultaneously delivers hot and cool energy to the listener on a hot summer day. In particular, the intense guitar sounds in the introduction and interlude are reminiscent of a fast-paced scene from a youth movie, and this energy is actually expressed through the music video. Nam Woohyun plays the lead role of a baseball pitcher, and actress Song Ji-woo, who made a deep impression as the younger Choi Hye-jung in the drama "The Glory" and Kang Mi-na in "Squid Game Season 2," participates as the female lead. The music video, which adds baseball and time travel concepts, as well as animation scenes, not only highlights the charm of "Only Straight" but also provides a unique fun experience.

'Samsidol (I Have to Go Back in 3 Minutes)' is a story about a man who will return without doubting his love even if he has to return in 3 minutes.

'Only 직진'은 제목부터 남우현을 상징하며 뜨거운 진심이 가장 강하다는 것을 보여주듯 폭발적이고 시원한 청량함을 전달해 주는 곡이다. 단 한 사람을 향해 오직 직진만을 선택한 메시지는 무더운 여름날에 듣는 이로 하여금 뜨겁고 시원한 에너지를 동시에 전달한다. 특히 도입부와 인털루드의 강렬한 기타 사운드는 청춘 영화의 질주 장면을 연상케 하며, 이러한 에너지를 실제로 뮤직비디오를 통해서도 표현했다. 남우현이 야구선수 투수 주인공 역할을 직접 연기하고, 드라마 <더 글로리>의 최혜정 아역과 <오징어 게임 시즌 2>의 강미나 역으로 깊은 인상을 남긴 배우 '송지우'가 여주인공으로 참여한 뮤직비디오는 야구와 타임 트래블 컨셉, 그리고 애니메이션 장면을 덧대어 'Only 직진'의 매력을 한층 돋보이게 만들었을 뿐만 아니라 차별화된 재미를 준다.
