Description (Translated):

Stranger's second full-length album [People] is a work consisting of 11 tracks and 11 people.
Words, emotions, and landscapes that seem unrelated.
These characters live, love, endure, and sing in their own way.
But the moment they are placed within an album, they begin to read as one entity.
This album is a collection of fragments of life.
Although it is made up of different pieces, it ultimately becomes one complete figure.

I think of this album as a book written from a series of short stories.
Each song exists as a story, and as you turn the pages, the character gradually takes shape.
An existence that was vague and hazy at first gradually becomes clearer as it passes between sentences and melodies.
Then, suddenly, when I have read all the stories, I start to think, 'Who was this person?'
It could be someone very close to you, or it could be someone you don't know at all.
[Characters] is a story that can be read in completely different ways depending on the listener's memories and emotions.
The song simply quietly reveals the pieces that lead to a single character.
And it is entirely up to the listener to decide what kind of person's face those pieces become.

Description (Original):

낯선아이의 두 번째 정규 앨범 [인물들]은 11개의 트랙, 11개의 인물로 이루어진 작품이다.
서로 연관 없어 보이는 말들, 감정들, 풍경들.
그 인물들은 각자의 방식으로 살아가고, 사랑하고, 견디며 노래한다.
하지만 한 앨범 안에 놓인 순간, 이들은 하나의 존재처럼 읽히기 시작한다.
이 앨범은 삶의 단면을 조각처럼 모아놓는다.
다른 조각들로 구성되어 있지만, 결국 하나의 인물이 완성된다.

나는 이 앨범을, 단편들을 이어 쓴 한 권의 책이라고 생각한다.
각 곡은 한 편의 이야기로 존재하며, 페이지를 넘길수록 그 인물이 점차 형태를 갖춰간다.
처음엔 모호하고 흐릿했던 존재가, 문장과 문장 사이, 멜로디와 멜로디 사이를 지나며 점점 선명해진다.
그러다 문득, 모든 이야기를 다 읽었을 때 비로소 '이 인물이 누구였을까' 생각하게 된다.
누군가에겐 아주 가까운 사람일 수도 있고, 어쩌면 전혀 모르는 타인일 수도 있다.
[인물들]은 듣는 이의 기억과 감정에 따라 전혀 다른 모습으로 읽히는 이야기다.
노래는 그저 하나의 인물로 이어지는 조각들을 조용히 꺼내어 보여줄 뿐이다.
그리고 그 조각들이 어떤 사람의 얼굴이 되는지는, 온전히 듣는 이의 몫이다.
