The 4th generation girl group 'PURPLE KISS', who captivated a global fandom through various overseas performances, will release their 7th mini album [HEADWAY] on October 22, 2024 with a more mature witch concept.

[HEADWAY] means moving forward, and is an album that contains the message of choosing your own direction at the various crossroads you encounter in life. Through PURPLE KISS's appearance of breaking away from the fixed standards of society and pioneering a life based on their own individuality and beliefs, you can get a glimpse of their distinct identity and direction as a girl group that has been around for four years.

The title song 'ON MY BIKE' is a hip-hop dance song based on a strong guitar sound, and it contains the determination of us who stand at numerous crossroads, to go our own way between yesterday's regrets and tomorrow's expectations. It reveals PURPLE KISS's confidence and independent life direction through the image of breaking free from the shackles of gaze, trusting in our subjectivity, and running forward without looking back.

Also, PURPLE KISS showed a more mature and deeper worldview of witches through the MV teaser and the main video. The video tells the story of six witches who go against typical standards and customs and move forward while expressing their desires without reservation. At first glance, it may seem a bit questionable and rough, but it shows a free and confident appearance, and poses a question to the viewers about who is the one with the narrow-minded view.

In addition to this, the album includes a total of 5 tracks, from 'Intro: Concrete Jungle' which increases the immersion into the world of PURPLE KISS and establishes a strong self even in a harsh environment, 'Sweet Nightmare' which is Na Go-eun's self-composed song about wanting to wander in it forever even if it is a sweet nightmare, 'Encore' which talks about continuing our own party before the night ends, and 'Light the way' which honestly and delicately expresses PURPLE KISS's feelings towards Flory, the eternal light.

[HEADWAY]는 전진이라는 뜻으로, 인생을 살아가며 마주하는 다양한 갈림길에서도 본인만의 방향을 선택하라는 메시지를 담은 앨범이다. 고착화된 사회의 기준에서 벗어나 본인의 개성과 신념을 기반으로 삶을 개척하는 퍼플키스(PURPLE KISS)의 모습을 통해 어느덧 4년 차 걸그룹이 된 그들의 뚜렷한 정체성과 방향성을 엿볼 수 있다.

타이틀 곡 'ON MY BIKE'는 강렬한 기타 사운드를 베이스로 한 힙합 댄스 곡으로, 수많은 갈림길 위에 서 있는 우리가 어제의 후회와 내일의 기대 사이에서도 우리만의 길을 가자는 각오를 담아냈다. 시선의 속박에서 벗어나 주관을 믿고 앞만 보고 달리는 모습을 통해 퍼플키스(PURPLE KISS)의 자신감과 주체적인 삶의 지향점을 드러냈다.

또한 퍼플키스(PURPLE KISS)는 MV 티저와 본편을 통해 한층 성숙해진 모습으로 더욱 짙어진 마녀 세계관을 선보였다. 전형적인 기준과 관습에 대항하고 각자의 욕망을 가감 없이 드러내며 앞으로 나아가는 여섯 마녀의 이야기를 영상으로 풀어냈다. 얼핏 보면 다소 의문스럽고 거칠어 보이지만 자유롭고 당당한 모습을 보여주며, 영상을 보는 이에게 편협된 시선을 가진 사람은 누구인지 물음표를 던진다.
