XLOV 1ST EP ALBUM 'UXLXVE'

With their first mini-album 'UXLXVE', XLOV aims to redefine the stereotypes of negative thoughts and emotions, as well as the various expressions that come with them, with XLOV's own message.

They took the original word “UNLOVE” and used the witty wordplay format they’ve consistently used since their debut, replacing the ‘N’ and ‘O’ with ‘X’, and focused on the meaning of a ‘double negative’, a possibility that can change into a positive number, just like how a negative number multiplies to become a positive number. ‘We don’t have to always live suppressing our NO’, ‘Thoughts or feelings that come across as negative have the right to be expressed as they are’, and by meeting like-minded creatures, they aim to additionally convey the message that ‘everything can end up being positive or the right answer’.

XLOV, their own bold challenge is once again truly contained in this album. The diverse thoughts, like the hearts of all beings who live while constantly colliding with various emotions, are expressed through diverse genres and stories. XLOV's stubbornness to not be limited to one genre and their identity 'freedom' is expressed through various music genres and styles, along with the ambition that 'we become a genre in and of ourselves as we are'. In addition, this album also aims to get closer to the public and fandom EVOL (이불) step by step with the unique producing of member 'Umuti', who is both the leader and producer.

The songs start with the main title track 'Rizz', a hip-hop R&B track based on the 808 trap sound, the sub-title track 'Biii:-p', which combines hyper-pop elements and is made with a strong bass and wide synth, 'Scent', an R&B number with a spoonful of sexiness on top of a sticky and dense track, 'Dirty Baby', which expresses one's own voice for freedom in the genre of Trap R&B on top of a sexy and dreamy groove, 'kiss and say goodbye', a ballad song in XLOV's style that expresses a mature breakup with a dreamy yet beautiful piano sound and melody, and the last track 'Drip Drip', which is a harmony of exciting uk garage rhythm drums and contrasting calm acoustic guitar, among these, the main title and sub-title tracks 'Rizz', 'Biii:-p', and the first ballad track 'kiss and say goodbye' show that Umuti's lyrics created the overall harmony and artistic sense of the songs.

XLOV(엑스러브) 1ST EP ALBUM 'UXLXVE(언러브)'

XLOV는 그들의 첫 미니앨범 'UXLXVE'로 부정적인 생각과 감정, 또 그와 맞닿아진 여러 표현들의 고정관념들을 XLOV만의 메세지로 재정의하려 한다.

“UNLOVE” 라는 본래의 단어를 그들이 데뷔 때부터 꾸준히 가지고 가던 재치만점 워드플레이 형식을 그대로 끌고와 'N'과 'O'부분을 'X'로 표기했는데 '이중부정', 음수와 음수가 곱해지면 양수가 되어지듯 긍정으로 바뀔 수 있는 가능성을 펼쳐두려는 의미를 중점적으로 다루고 있다. '우리는 우리들의 NO 를 항상 억누르며 살아갈 필요없다', '부정으로 다가오는 생각 혹은 감정이 그대로 표현이 될 권리가 있다', 그러다 나와 같은 생각의 생명체들을 서로 만나 '모든 것이 긍정 또는 정답으로 귀결될 수가 있다'를 추가적으로 담아내려 한다.

XLOV, 그들만의 과감한 도전이 또 한번 명실상부하게 이 앨범에 담겨져 있다. 여러 감정들과 끊임없이 부딪히며 살아가고 있는 모든 존재들의 마음과도 같은 다양한 생각들이 다채로운 장르,스토리로 풀어졌으며 한 가지 장르로만 국한되어 표현하지 않으려는XLOV의 고집, 그리고 정체성 '자유로움'을 다양한 음악 장르와 스타일로 풀어냈음을, '우린 있는 그대로, 그 자체로 하나의 장르가 된다'라는 포부와 함께 더불어 이번 앨범도 리더이자 프로듀서인 멤버 '우무티' 그만의 독창적인 프로듀싱과 함께 대중들과 팬덤 EVOL(이불)들에게 한 걸음 한 걸음 더 다가가 보려 한다.

곡에는 808 트랩 사운드를 바탕으로 한 힙합 R&B 트랙인 메인 타이틀 곡 'Rizz'를 필두로 하여, 하이퍼팝의 요소를 결합하여 강렬한 베이스와 넓은 신스로 만들어진 서브 타이틀 'Biii:-p', 끈적하고 밀도 있는 트랙 위 섹시미를 한 숟갈 얹은 R&B 넘버의 'Scent', 섹시하고 몽환적인 그루브 위 자신만의 자유를 향한 목소리를 Trap R&B라는 장르로 풀어낸 'Dirty Baby', 성숙한 이별을 몽환적이면서도 아름다운 피아노 사운드와 선율로 표현해낸 XLOV표 발라드 곡 'kiss and say goodbye', 신나는 uk garage 리듬의 드럼과 그에 상반되는 차분한 acoustic guitar의 조화의 마지막 트랙 'Drip Drip'까지, 이 중 메인 타이틀과 서브 타이틀의 'Rizz' , 'Biii:-p' 그리고 첫 발라드 곡인 'kiss and say goodbye'에는 우무티의 가사들로 전체적인 곡의 조화와 예술적인 감각들을 이루어냈음을 보여주고 있다.
