유채훈은 첫 앨범 에서 클래식의 색을 줄이고 섬세한 감성을 그려 넣었다. 격정이 없는 평온하고 순수한 감성으로 낯선 감동을 전했던 첫 번째 앨범. 하지만, 두 번째 앨범은 변화가 필요했다. 많은 이들이 기다렸을 테너 유채훈의 면모를 보여주기 위해, 긴 고민 끝에 그가 선택한 변화의 방식은 '덧칠(paint over)'이었다. 버리거나 지우지 않고 기존의 그림 위에 두텁게 색을 더한다. 이번 앨범의 제목이 인 이유다.

이번 앨범은 이전 앨범 에서 보여준 섬세한 감성 위에 유채훈 특유의 음악색과 가치관을 굵게 덧입혀 완성했다. 컨셉에 휘둘리지 않고 과감하게 자신의 색을 얹어내며 온전한 본인의 음악을 만들었다. 전반적인 사운드는 맑고 서정적인 피아노가 주도하지만 곡의 전개는 이전 앨범과 확연히 다르게 과감하고 진취적이다. 이전 앨범이 평온함으로 힐링을 전했다면 이번 앨범은 평온함을 깨고 앞으로 나아가며 진취적인 힐링을 선사한다. 희망을 가득 품은 역동성은 침잠하는 감성을 기분 좋게 끌어올린다.

다섯 곡이 수록된 는 연주곡 'Intro : Soleil de minuit'로 시작된다. '한밤의 태양'이라는 뜻의 인트로곡은 아름다웠지만 스스로에게는 힘들었던 시간을 표현한다. 밝게 빛나던 순간들이 어쩌면 어두운 밤이었을 수도 있다.

인트로곡은 자연스럽게 '하얀 사막'으로 이어진다. 곡의 도입부는 인트로곡처럼 유채훈의 예술가적 기질이 묻어 있다. '세상은 흰색 모래에 잠든 사막 같아'라는 가사에서 고뇌의 흔적을 엿볼 수 있다. 하지만 곧 깊은 고뇌는 희망을 담아 나아가기 시작한다. '여러 계절이 알려준 우리 얘길 담아 첫 발자국을 떼 걷고 싶어'라는 가사는 의 연장선에서 이번 앨범을 그려나갈 것임을 알려준다. 어두운 새벽이지만 희미한 빛을 따라서 긴 여행을 떠난다는 가사가 의미심장하다. 물론 그가 찾는 오아시스는 아직 그만의 신기루일 뿐이다.
