It's been a while since I released an album, so I'm writing this introduction.
I don't think I'll be able to write diligently because the submission deadline is approaching... I'm sure I'll regret writing it anyway...
It might seem cooler to not write anything at all, but... it's not cool because I just wrote a sentence...
Maybe a few people will read this and like this album a little better…

Many of you may know the meaning of the word 'POSER',
It doesn't have a very positive meaning. People who carry books they don't read, or post pictures of themselves skateboarding but can't ride... I heard it's like an elementary school swear word used in English-speaking countries to make fun of those people. But in reality, many people around the world, including myself, live in an era with such inflated egos... In other words, we live in the age of posers... The title appealed to me because of that thought... And some people say that Zion.T makes original, unique music, or that he's real, but is that really true? It might be obvious, but in a way, everything I've done has just been posing, following the "style" I like and respect... I think this album is a cool pose I've made with that question mark in mind...

POSER

1. LOVE ME

I really like this song…
I had been humming this song long before I started working on it.
You love me because I love myself this much.
I don't know if the lyrics are 100% sincere, but I want to believe they are. Most of them are.

2. Heroine

Who is the heroine of my life? Of course, my lover... and my mother. Even if she's not the heroine of a great animated film, doesn't everyone have a heroine in their lives?
Even if they don't look flawless and flawless like a cartoon character every day, I feel like all the women in the world are heroines to someone, and I wanted to dedicate this song to them...

3. Suspicious

I don't remember how I came to make this song.
It just happened to be made... Among the notes I wrote while making it, 'Is she mine or my enemy?
'A relationship that grows closer by gnawing at each other, and becomes clearer as it crumbles.' It's embarrassing to see something like this written...
Anyway, I think I wanted to portray a very suspenseful and dangerous relationship… Honestly, I like that kind of atmosphere.

4. Fish

The first scene of working on this song started in the car… me and my passenger in the driver's seat. We don't know our destination, but we're going. Hahahoho, chatting away, hours turning into days, months, years, and it's still fun. Even trapped in this cramped fishbowl, it's just fun. Hahahoho, is this song about the attitude of a fish that somehow survived? I don't know. I just like it.

5. CLOSER

One step, two steps, three steps… Made without a brain.
In fact, this album itself was made almost entirely without any brain power…
So, does that make you feel better than usual?
I think they just made it up and put it out as it came out.
Anyway, this song is just a feeling.
I wish the listeners would come back to me for a moment.
I want to get closer too. I don't know how, but if I keep going, I'll see if it works out somehow. I hope it does...

오랜만에 앨범을 내면서 이런 소개글을 적어본다.
이게 제출 기한이 얼마 남지 않아서 열심히 쓰지는 못할 것 같은데… 분명 써놓고 후회할 것 같고…
아무것도 안 쓰는 편이 왠지 쿨해 보일 수도 있겠지만… 이미 방금 문장을 쓴 것으로 쿨하지 않다…
어쩌면 몇 명이라도 이 글을 읽고 이 앨범이 조금 더 좋아질 수도 있으니…

'POSER'라는 단어의 의미를 많이들 알겠지만,
그리 긍정적인 의미는 아니다. 읽지도 않는 책을 끼고 다니거나, 스케이트보드를 타지도 못하면서 사진 찍어 올리는… 영미권에서는 그런 사람들 놀리려고 쓰는 초딩 욕 같은 거라던데. 근데 사실 나를 포함한 세상 많은 사람들이 그런 식으로 과장된 자아를 갖고 사는 시대에 살고 있다… 즉, 지금은 포져의 시대다… 라는 생각에 끌리는 제목이었다… 그리고 어떤 사람들은 자이언티는 오리지널한 자기만의 음악을 한다라든가, 리얼하다 뭐 이런 감사한 평을 해주기도 하는데, 과연 그게 진짜일까? 당연한 말일 수도 있지만 어찌 보면 내가 해온 것들은 내가 좋아하고 존경하는 '풍'을 따라 하는 포징이었을 뿐일지도 모르니까… 이번 앨범은 그런 물음표 같은 기분으로 지어보는 멋쟁이 포즈인 것 같다…

「POSER」

1. LOVE ME

나 이 노래가 너무 좋다…
이 노래는 작업하기 훨씬 전부터 흥얼거리고 있었다.
내가 날 이렇게나 사랑해서 네가 날 사랑하는 거야.
가사가 100% 진심인지는 모르겠지만 진심이라 여기고 싶은 얘기다. 대부분 진심이기도 하고.

2. Heroine

내 인생의 히로인은 누굴까. 당연히 내 연인… 그리고 엄마. 꼭 대단한 애니메이션의 여주가 아니더라도 모두들 각자의 인생에서 히로인이 하나쯤 있지 않나?
만화 주인공처럼 매일 흐트러짐 없이 완벽한 모습은 아니더라도 세상 모든 그녀들이 누군가에겐 히로인이라는 마음이 생겼고, 이 노래를 통해 그녀들에게 바치고 싶었다…

3. Suspicious

어쩌다 이 노래를 만들게 된 건지 기억이 안 난다.
그냥 어쩌다 보니 만들어졌어… 만들면서 써둔 메모 중에, '그녀는 내 것일까, 내 적일까.
서로를 갉아먹으며 가까워지는, 무너질수록 더 선명해지는 관계.' 막 이런 글이 써져 있는데… 부끄럽다.
아무튼 굉장히 Sus하고 위험한 관계를 담아보고 싶었던 것 같아… 솔직히 그런 분위기 좋아합니다.

4. 물고기

이 노래 작업의 첫 장면은 차에서 시작했다… 운전석에 앉은 나와 동승자. 목적지를 모르지만 일단 출발. 하하호호 떠들며 몇 시간이 며칠, 몇 달, 몇 년이 되었는데도 재미있어. 이런 비좁은 어항 속에 갇혀 있어도 그냥 재미있어. 하하호호 어떻게든 살아남은 물고기의 태도랄까, 그런 곡인 건가? 모르겠다. 그냥 좋아.

5. CLOSER

한 발짝 두 발짝 세 발짝이라니… 뇌 빼고 만들었다.
사실 이번 앨범 자체가 뇌를 거의 빼두고 만들었다…
그래서 다른 때보다 더 기분이 좋은 건가.
그냥 나오는 대로 만들고 낸 것 같아.
아무튼, 이 곡도 그저 기분이다.
청자들이 잠시 내게 돌아와 줬으면 좋겠어.
나도 다가가고 싶고. 방법은 모르겠지만 계속하다 보면 어떻게 또 되겠지. 됐으면 좋겠다…
